Danielle Steel's Palomino

After the break up of her marriage Samantha goes to a ranch where she falls in love with a ranch hand Tate. But Tate, ashamed by his status, leaves. Samantha embarks on a project photographing the 'real' cowboys of the west but is paralysed in an accident. She inherits a ranch turning it into a riding school for paralysed children. Through this she begins to heal from the pain, but Tate returns to the ranch to see her again.
