They got a character on there named Oscar, they treat this guy like shit the entire show. They judge him right in his face, "Oscar you are so mean! Isn't he kids?", "Yeah Oscar! You're a grouch!", it's like "BITCH! I LIVE IN A FUCKING TRASHCAN!"

I think if we're talking number of watches, I've probably sat down and watched this special close to 50 times since I was about 12, which is a hell of a lot more than almost anything else except for Wayne's World 2. My therapist told me I should be honest about being able to recite the fucking Wayne's World 2 screenplay, so I'm doing it in this mediocre minireview.

Damn he's hilarious. Nearly 20 years later and this is still the stand up special I quote more than anything else. Dave is one of the greatest of all time.

I remember watching this when it first came out. I was in high school and only had a vague notion of who Chappelle was. It blew my mind, akin I'm sure to what it was like for people to first see Pryor or Hicks or Eddie Murphy back in their heyday. Hope he has another stand-up special left in him.

A near-perfect hour of stand-up; Dave is on stellar form here, with political and observational material working wonderfully in tandem.

Almost 2 decades after Killin' Them Softly, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots somehow gets to do stand up on Showtime. SAVE US DAVE WE NEED YOU. And he did. Seriously, Gronkowski is fucking terrible. Can we just let Louis CK apologize and come back for when Dave disappears again.

The best recorded stand-up special to my knowledge.

Pretty great, until it devolves into stupid male stand-up misogyny, etc... ah well. Dave's "white guy voice" is fucking funny as shit. The "sprinkle some crack on him and let's get out of here!" line is both hilarious and horrifyingly accurate. p.s. Fuck William Clinton.

Dave Chappelle is sometimes funny in this, but most of his material is aimed at black folks.

Really loved this. I also love how he works the baby from the projects back into it.

Not the funniest stuff ever. I wish he did some more impersonating of white people, as well as expand the angle on comedy he takes. It's also too bad about his audience, who have to applaud at every joke he makes -- if they didn't, this would be twice as short and he could've doubled the amount of jokes.

The best-known bits are great, but a lot of the rest is surprisingly weak, Steve Harvey-sounding stuff.
