This. Is. My. Shit. A conversation piece adapted from a stage play, positively radiating "adapted from a stage play" energy, it boasts four great actors who each do their part to carry the load, with each of them getting their own moments to shine. This is the sort of movie a lot of people will find boring or too melodramatic, but I like melodrama & I like good acting. This has both of those things, plus a really good script that presents several thoughtful ideas. And possibly gay subtext.

Psychological workout is certainly well performed, but the characters' searches for truth and honesty come across as hollow and superficial when the movie itself is pitched well and truly in the shallow end of the pool; the screeching and whingeing eventually comes of as self indulgent rather than honest; pales in comparison to the far more searing CLOSER, which shares many similarities. Relentlessly stage bound as well, in both settings and performances.

An adult movie about family values during divorce. Lots of talking, some emotional scenes. Important idea and okay to see. But how in Earth they put Andie MacDowell's pullover that perky?
