Dream Cruise

i guess not all japanese horror is terrible, and at least the obligitory dead kid appearance was brief. this movie had me genuinely terrified. i do have to laugh, having taken CPR more than five times, whenever i see people trying to save others by randomly pounding on chests, and i laugh more when it works.

Has its chilling moments but there are too many "close calls" (if you've seen this you'll know what I mean) to make any of it engrossing and/or scary. All the j-horror tropes plop out one after another too. Meh.
