Well, I guess this puts any criticism I might have had of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey into perspective. That said, it's still marginally better than Wrath of the Dragon God, on account of at least trying to give its protagonist a character arc.

Another wasted opportunity...

A much better attempt at a D&D movie, which might not be saying a lot but it has a decent enough take on morality and alignments with a few cool scenes.

Marginally entertaining. Goes by very quickly, at least.

Surprisingly watchable; goes grittier, sexier and more violent, none of it in a particularly original or memorable way, but still. It's nice to see a party made up of chiefly evil characters. And at least it's not as anemic as the second movie. Clears the admittedly very low bar of being a SyPhy movie that could have been worse.

Could become a good book: the scenario was pleasing, but the pictures not. P.S: Loved the crying, hungry demon girl. And companions of Shathrax, too.

What the heck it was? I don't know. A movie, well technically yes. Role play, well it was fun to see how these people overplay their roles which not even suit them. You need to have either a high dose of patience or be on some drugs to finish this 'production'. 20 points for naked women and some nice special effects (I liked the dragon and little undead girl). 6 points for at least willing to do something from D&D. The rest unfortunately sucks it to the bone and is a total waste of time...
