The story itself is excellent, but the movie really isn't. People unaware of the series will be left wanting, and those who are won't find much of value. It also feels a little too self-congratulatory. A better approach would have implemented a look at the history of the rivalry itself instead of talking heads reliving their crowning achievements on camera.

R - One of the most enjoyable 30 for 30 documentaries. The story is so crazy, it would be dismissed if it was fiction. Not only the curse of the Babe to deal with, but 3-0 down to the hated Yankees when the film starts. Each game seems like a classic, and the fan perspectives give the story real life and energy.

Disgusting, and that no way is formed on my lifelong allegiance to the Cardinals.

The only really interesting shots in this doc are the pre-game 4 interviews with Millar and the occasional plane shots. Otherwise, this is pretty boring unless you're a Red Sox fan or weren't alive in 2004. Also, the Simmons/Clarke convo is excruciating.
