Exceptional set by Carlin shows him in peak, blistering form (except a few tripped words towards the end), building a terrific, fiery rhythm and scoring some pointed and amusing observations. As always, filmed and designed as a TV special so its the content rather than film-making smarts which are the star here, though the roving camera does heighten the tension and energy of its star's tirades.

Carlin nails that blend of anger, high concepts, and writing style that he keep using for the rest of his specials.

This one was less preachy and more fun. Good stuff.

Carlin was a genius, and his skill and craft come through with each and every bit. But this set was hit and miss for me. I felt his cynicism was a bit too harsh for my delicate liberal sensibilities.
