A charming and experienced man takes a lover in order to send her to be the wife of an important but inexperienced man, so that through her he may wield influence: interesting idea. I have not read this play (well, I understand that it is Part 1 plus parts of Part 2), but I get the impression that quite a bit has been deleted, and a few other liberties taken.
