Into the Storm

Awesome portrait of a man I never knew much about, and especially cool capture of London and the UK during the war, since so many films want to take place on the front lines or the Pacific, not as many focus on what England was like. The back and forth through time was a little disorienting at times, especially since I don't know the timeline of Churchill it would've been nice to have a frame of reference in history. Very cool movie and I recommend it.

Lackluster.

Reasonably good fun, and Churchill is one of the most interesting and quotable figures in modern history, but there are a few places where they lay it on a bit thick. Particularly the Battle of Britain speech bit, where the immortal line gets delivered 4 times inside a minute. Excellent performance from Gleeson, but overall just an OK TV movie.

Captures British social awkwardness really nicely, and quite a vivid portrayal of very interesting times. Never seen anything like this before. High quality from HBO, as usual.

It's like Churchill - Hits on 45 but still. Great performance by Brendan Gleeson.
