Half of this movie is footage stolen from other movies, yet there are still three credited screenwriters - I guess plagiarism is hard. You get an F for cheating, movie. See me after class.

At one point the villain can't get a good shot on the shark so he demands they pull over. They're on open water in a boat. Pull over. It's pretty enjoyable.

The film isn't 'Jaws 5', Peter Benchley had nothing to do with writing it, and Mattei only directed parts of it, since a lot of it is constructed by editing together scenes from other films - any other films, yes including JAWS so I guess you could argue Benchley wrote those bits - that had sharks in them. Other than those minor points the listing here is totally accurate.

"Mom, can I have Hulk Hogan?" "No, we have Hulk Hogan at home." I could spend paragraphs discussing why this film is bad, but like, would you be surprised? Would you ever think a film that has billed itself as Jaws 5, despite having no relation to the Jaws series, would be good? This is a fun bad film, and let's leave it at that.

Feeling like a student-made homage to the Jaws series, the schlock (‘actors’ who have been to a couple of film school classes, one take shots, dodgy editing, rubbish script, etc.) raises a grin or two but wears thin very quickly, and by the end you’re just bored and fed up. The biggest puzzle playing on your mind throughout is why this was ever produced in the first place.

You’’ll be treated to an amazing remix of the Star Wars theme if you make it that far.

Ridiculously bad yet still mildly entertaining.
