Jim Jefferies: I Swear to God

"I Swear To God" starts off on the right foot as Jefferies relentlessly rips on religion (and in particular Christianity) for several minutes. All those jokes are on-point, with some of them being simply hilarious and even the weaker, more unoriginal ones being pretty good. Another high point is the finale, in which he stretches his storytelling muscles, thus hinting at the greatness that would follow later in his career. The rest is decidedly less funny but for the most part remains pleasant.

I'd like to think that I've outgrown politically incorrect potty humor but when it is performed at this caliber its quite hard to not give due credit. Jefferies had me in tears.

With vulgarity and in-your-face offensiveness so in vogue these days, it's surprising that Jeffries can seem so fresh with his material. Maybe I'm just a sucker for an accent. Either way, this is good stuff.
