Land of the Lustrous

High concept fantasy about the ways in which trauma shapes us - literally in this instance. One of the best looking shows I've ever seen. Seamlessly blends traditional Ghibli-esque painted backgrounds with cg animation which allows for some inventive 'camera' work in the action scenes. The main character is very endearing and the first half of the show is generally funny and lighthearted whilst the second is a complete bummer in the best possible way. I need a second season of this right now.
