Mark Harmon is fun as a constant prick (which for some reason I can't see as being too big a stretch for him) but man the episodes feel repetitive within the first half season... It's OK production values and acting keep it at average.

Abby though

Abby the forensic scientist made this show for me. The every changing roster is kept stable by the arguably main characters of Gibbs, McGee, and DiNozzo. Great interest every episode, connects each episode through a compelling overarching plot.

they're not like other cops. they're quirky!

I saw a couple of episode and thought they were okay then I watched more and became bored of the copy paste repetition, and then found out there are 13 seasons and almost 300 episodes. How can there be that many crimes involving navel officers?

Not terrible, but the epitome of boring.

This show holds a special place in my heart. Nostalgia being one of the main reasons as I watched this growing up with my mom. It's also filled with a great cast and fun times. Don't take this show too seriously or you'll be disappointed.
