Like a feature length indie film Mad TV sketch. Or if Breaking Bad was directed by David Lynch & the protagonist wasn't sympathetic. 1 moment of moronic animal cruelty. The writing is generally good, though realistically, it's hard to believe she wouldn't have told all of her friends about scam immediately when it happened (esp since she's so self-absorbed), or had the street skill to thwart cops trynna enter without a warrant. But the writing shines in terms of characters/dialogue/atmosphere.

I soldiered on all the way to the finish of season 1, but I'm not sure why I bothered, as it never really entertained at all. It's like a crap version of the "Fargo" series.
