This movie is a vibe, which you either sync with or just can't connect to. No denying how joyful and wonderful the film is, especially with the free flowing atmosphere the party portrays. But at 70 minute run time, focusing just on the party and mostly the dancing, makes what little plot threads flow through this movie feel barely there and dragging. There just isn't much to talk about since there isn't much there besides the vibe and feels. Can we get a movie about the DJ though, I liked him.

A stunningly beautiful look at people making a space and then losing themselves in that space. McQueen's photography does wonders for the bodies in rhythm and for the brief glimpses of passion. What a way to capture a vibe.

This atmospheric slice-of-life tale had me wrapped around its little finger. It's my favorite part of 'Small Axe' and one of my favorite films of 2020.

I wish I could connect more with the music in this, because on paper this is totally my kind of shit. It's still pretty good, though.

McQ is 2/2 this series and this one has serious replay value. The camera floats similarly to the recent Noe films and the vibes are infinite.

I'm a sucker for people losing themselves in music. The Silly Games scene is mesmeric erotic and the passionate rage of the Kunta Kinte Dub scene brought tears to my eyes! Love it.

Cleverly creates and maintains an atmosphere with its use of music and movement but does brush with much darker moments of mood and actions - the ending was a relief.

If your search history on Youtube consist of a lot of searches like "reggae house party sing-a-long" you'll probably enjoy this. If not you can skip through the middle 75% of this and still grasp the movie completely. Decent photo but that's about it.

Sexiest show on earth. Oh, my days, I'm not even thet into parties and how I just one dive into one and never get out for just one night. This is just sublime exercise in slice of life filmmaking that still manages to deliver bits of social commentary here and there about these youngsters' immigrant experience in UK. But, for the most part, it's just falling in love or just flirting, smoking, dancing, singing and dry humping, having a religious experience through music or just a good time.

Meandering, ultimately pointless exercise from a narrative perspective is interesting for the way McQueen’s camera floats intimately through the party-goers and captures a mood – if the film had been a short and consisted of just the dance sequences, this would likely get a much higher score, but as is the attempts to awkwardly broach social commentary falls flat (especially the rape sequence which arrives from nowhere) and make the film drag and feel much longer than its 70 minute run time.
