For rapper-turned-filmmaker Ice Cube the emergence of gangster rap will be forever linked to the Oakland Raiders' move to Los Angeles in 1982. He turns the camera on himself to tell how his genre-defining group NWA forged an unlikely relationship with the Raiders, a team whose swagger and style captivated LA during their troubled 13-season stay. I think the only genuinely interesting thing about the documentary was the reason Davis went back to LA. Otherwise it's just Ice Cube saying how cool the Raiders and NWA were in the early 80s for 50 minutes. There's some pretty great B-Roll footage though.

Appealingly personal but poorly put-together, with negligible assistance from whatever style-guiding ESPN shithead.

At least they got the LA Kings to wear Silver and Black instead of those godawful yellow crown jerseys
