Made for TV fantasy with a surprisingly good story and a very large cast of interesting characters. This movie was apparently the pilot for a series that never got picked up, so there are a handful of plot threads that never get resolved. Still very enjoyable if you can find it.

What do you do when you can't find a good battle choreographer for your medieval fantasy flick? Make the hero an archer and have him slay his foes from 20 paces. Despite the so-cal setting (which looks pretty much like every shoot location for the A-Team), some pitiful effects (note to director: changing lens color doesn't count as SFX), AND a few performances so hammy you can smell the bacon, some of the characters were actually cool, and there was an attempt to make the dialog sound 'fantasy.'
