The Gate of Heavenly Peace

It is more than twenty years since I saw this three-hour Frontline documentary about the Tiananmen Square events, but my recollection is that it presented a convincing case that what unfolded, while significant for the future of China, bore almost no resemblance to the way it was presented by the Western media at the time, and the way it continues to be understood by most Westerners today. Recommended viewing.
