The Outside

I liked the Lynchian satire and inventive camerawork, but the whole thing feels too long for the rather obvious point they're making.

The suburban set-up is kinda cool and well-developed, but as soon as the body horror starts, it just goes in a weird and repetitive path that I found truly annoying.

I mean, Kate Micucci is a standout, and really makes this whole thing. The satirical bits are a bit too on the nose, but other scenes are really nicely done, like when Stacey has finally had enough of her husband's patronizing but loving support.

I was REALLY liking it at first (let's say during the first 30 mins) but then it just kept going downhill, sadly.
