There were a lot of really bad "post-Lost" shows nakedly attempting to emulate everything about that show's ensemble cast and mystery and cliffhanger-centric structure. This nonsensical clusterfuck is probably the very worst of them, which is saying something. I was hate watching it by episode 5, drunk hate watching by the end of season 1, then had to quit a few episodes into season 2; I couldn't do it anymore. Sad to see Dean Norris go right from Breaking Bad to this.

Poorest writing of any tv show I've ever watched. Every character is unlikable, there is no consistency between episodes, the overall plot is shit. I'm actually really happy it got cancelled, I was bound to that show by some mysterious force that kept me watching it. I think I just wanted to see how low it would sink. Good night sweet prince.

Dropped at S3E4 - too intellectually damaging. Don't know how I got all the way through to season 3. Should have dropped it at episode 2 instead. Worst writing I've seen in a long time. Some great ideas nevertheless (possibly coming from the source material).

So excited a King adaption got a decent budget, but there was no saving this. It is wooden and seems unsure of itself or motives. Immediate changes to the main character were a bad sign, and it ended up being a silly part of the story.

Started out as a pretty solid King adaptation, but went downhill fast. By the second season it's a a barely intelligible clusterfuck of stupid, and it only gets worse from there. It's actually a fun watch, I would recommend it for anyone looking for so-bad-it's-good television along with the even zanier Syfy masterpiece Helix.

A post-Twin Peaks, post-Lost insomnia aid.

Under the Dome is possibly a metaphor for the Stockholm syndrome suffered watching the show. It almost gets interesting before terribly written characters and last minute plot-lines derail what could have been an interesting show.

I should have quit watching this show when it became brutally obvious that they were just making stuff up as they went along. A new McGuffin every week! Everything that was bad about "Lost" with none of the upside. I slogged through TWO seasons of this mess :(

It wasn't as bad as everyone seems to think. True, a lot of characters are really dislikeble and a lot of actors are bad, but that's why it's sweet when they fail. Dean Norris really carries the series on his back - you hate him, then root for him, then intense hatred again. The mystery itself has its ups and downs, but it's overall a-okay. The ending was also adequate, which was the most important thing for me, hence the high score. The constant reference of the Matrix gets really old though.

The enormous novel is one of my absolute favorites and definitely had enough material to cover 5 amazing seasons....on a different network. This was boring, contrived and featured horrible versions of the characters from the novel. It maybe would have been better as a CBS miniseries but it seems like the biggest problem bringing this from book to screen was the fact it landed on CBS. I hate that I hated this. I enjoy all the actors involved and it sucks to rip on something they were apart of.
