Great watch as a pilot, but as a stand alone movie it fails to deliver a complete story... obviously.

Cliched characters and a deeply unsatisfying ending.

Has some pretty exciting and some pretty boring pieces. And I still haven't figured out whether it's quite genius to use the tv show thing, whether annoying. This film has some great ideas but isn't worked out enough. Sometimes confusing with an ending which is a bit too sudden. Acting could have been better too at times.

Sort of OK, but it really feels like a pilot, there are so many narrative threads left hanging that at the end of the movie you are left with a dissatisfied feeling. I did like the Big Brother in Space theme. It felt pretty realistic. The spaceship design and decoration is a bit laughable. Paper books? Ikea like furniture? When every gram you send in orbit counts this is not believable at all.

Virtuality is a failed TV pilot released as a film, and it suffers as a result. A combination of space exploration and reality television is an interesting premise; adding a mystery of a manipulative AI or saboteur, the show had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the material presented was thoroughly disappointing. The acting isn't great (with the exception of D'Arcy) and the cast lacked any chemistry as an ensemble (luckily most went on to better projects). What's left is simply a mess.

At times, it's pretty boring, but shows a great promise that makes me feel sorry that it didn't turn into a series.

I would have loved this show. Even though Coster-Waldau had problems portraying the changes his caracter goes through and some of the effects were weak the pilot is great, and i can't believe the show didn't get picked up.

This movie alternated between being exciting and very boring. I usually love Sci-Fi but this one spends a lot of time in very ordinary places or in virtual reality. Certainly unlike anything you would associate with being in a space ship. The action is for the most part particularly mediocre. I especially disliked the ending and it seemed entirely pointless and anti-climatic.
