The plot is a nifty little riverboat take on the bootleg stories, but unfortunately it was limited how much they got out of it. Instead the most intriguing thing about this poverty row production was the amount of former well-known players in Hollywood the managed to hire for this small release. Sure, they were all on a downward spiral, but I will always love me some Guy Kibbee & Charles Butterworth. On the bad guy side they had such reliable guys as Lyle Talbot & Frank Jenks to liven things up.
