Mosca addio

Ida Nudel's is a true story, very much reflective of the broader Refusenik phenomenon of later-day Soviet political (and racist) repression, but Bolognini's plight-movie is lukewarm and pale by comparison to his early cinema, and plagued by a sappy soundtrack. On the plus side, Liv Ullmann's performance is outstanding.
