A french, toned down "Babel" but without the cinematographic perks and a-tier acting. It still manages to be entertaining, especially the Africa-part of the story but there's not exactly enough here to remember. Also 2019 feels a bit late to rely on the once-hip mosaic form

I don't know what to make of this. This film is structured like a joke. The mystery set up is serious and tragic but then the explanation is so funny and implausible that, to me, it came across as an absurd comedy. Probably an unintentional one, because everywhere I looked, this movie is never described as such. Was it good because I laughed a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it or bad because the authors failed so hard at making a drama that they made a farce? No idea.
