The Nuisance

Fast-talker extraordinaire Tracy gives one of his quintessential wiseguy performances as a conniving ambulance chaser who falls in love with Evans, unaware she's a special investigator for a streetcar company he's repeatedly victimized. Laugh-a-minute caper only slows down a bit toward the end for romance. Sparkling script by Samuel and Bella Spewack.

Lee Tracy might not be the romantic pretty boy, but few can match his persuasion and that's why he's so convincing in these screwball comedies. This is another impressive performance from him as a crooked lawyer. One day he stumbles across the beautiful Madge Evans, a lady laying at a accident scene, and he takes her case. For dubious characters both Frank Morgan & Charles Butterworth come across very sympathetic! And they both help make this a humorous affair full of laughs and crazy energy.
