The Stone Roses: Made Of Stone

Grubu seven birine güzel bir 100 dakika sunsa da, özel bir müzik belgeseli olduğunu söylemek zor. Tam bir "by a fan for the fans" durumu.

It lacks the kind of indepth access and difficult questions that would've made this a great doc about the band themselves. Instead it gives a picture of how much the band mean to their legions of die-hard fans. And the music is still just excellent.

Disappointing documentary with some decent live footage. The band are as guarded in front of the camera as they always were, albeit less obnoxious. Fans might enjoy this but I'd much rather spend 2 hours watching a live show.

Made Of Stone is a tailor made for fans celebration and documentation of the reforming of my all time favourite band, 'The Stone Roses'. Shane Meadows is a self confessed Roses fan and he was the best person to make this documentary. Heaton Park was honestly one of the best moments of my life and this fitting documentary is the best thing to remember it by. I could relate with fans sharing their stories and memories and the whole event is one big special moment that is brilliantly captured here.

Enjoyable if you like the music otherwise by a fan for the fans. Doesn't really add anything new.

Having always been surrounded by fans -some very keen- I hoped it'd explain the appeal. It's celebration rather than investigation though, nicely done and plenty of performance. Guess I'll never get it.

Anything but meaty but the rehersal version of Waterfall and especially the splendid 13-minute version of Fool's Gold redeems everything.
