Unforgettable

This feels like a DTV film, but surprise, it was actually released in 2000+ theatres. No one on Earth remembers this film. I guess you could say it was...forgettable.

Unforgettable is a throwback to the post-Fatal Attraction era of domestic thrillers where a psychotic neighbour/co-worker/babysitter/ex-spouse or partner becomes obsessed with the idea of ruining a person and/or family's life, mostly due to jealousy and resentment. When done right they can be guilty pleasures, but Unforgettable is poorly written and largely devoid of thrills or eroticism. Heigl and Dawson try, but it's played too straight to be effective, and the end result is utter tedium.

Unforgettable might better have been titled Totally Predictable. There's no nuance or mystery here. The only question is how intense the preordained claws-out fight between Julia (Rosario Dawson) and Tessa (Katherine Heigl) is going to be.

Unforgettable, a movie that is so utterly forgettable that its name feels like a direct insult from the filmmakers to the audience, is Every Stalker Thriller ever, but worse in quality than most. It's so generic, so boring, and so lacking in thrills, characters, and reasons to care that it's much more likely to put you to sleep than anything else. Its two lead actors are fine but there's nothing worthy of praise beyond them - and they can't save an otherwise awful movie.

Forgettable.

Borderline unwatchable. The shitty twist ending is just shit icing on the shit cake.

*insert joke about title here* as I reckon I'll forget about this in less than a week. Rosario Dawson elevates this material
