A princess is tricked by an evil count to set out to find the Christmas Star, and subsequently goes missing. The king curses the star for his loss, and the star never again returns to the land, taking the queen with it. Twelve years later, the king continues his efforts to rediscover the star that he sent away, hoping to regain the queen and princess.

Bjørn and Knut are two good friends. Together with Knut, Bjørn and his wife Guri goes for a trip in the Norwegian mountains to hunt.
