A small town sheriff goes to Chicago to find out about his estranged son, who has been accused of murder.

Baseball player Micah Matthias and his young son Bobby are fleeing a brutal media following the traumatic and unsolved murder of their wife and mother. They end up in the quaint Amish community of Sugarcreek, Ohio under a set of aliases and with a broken-down old truck. Three Amish sisters take them under their wings and employ Micah as a handyman. This sparks the suspicions of a Sugarcreek policewoman named Rachel Troyler, niece of the three who raised her after she was orphaned.

An abused wife leaves her alcoholic husband and moves with her children to another town. There their lives become entwined with another family in trouble.

A photographer determined to complete her exhibit by capturing a rare photo of a 12-sided snowflake, enlists the help of a childhood friend and they go on a mission they'll never forget. (imdb)
