The film takes place in Berlin at the turn of the century. Earl Wentzel Hedwig meets a beautiful Chrząstkowską. Fascinated by the woman decides to approach her. One day he rescues Hedwig the brutal Baron Wertheim, who reproaches him of his Polish roots. Despite the assistance Jadwiga did not want to meet him. But Earl did not give up. However, will have to face the obstacles before wileu win the heart of the girl.
