There are many street races in the Initial D Series. This OVA has no plot other than to collect all the street races into one stage. The dialog during the original races is left in.

Initial D Battle Stage 2 summarizes the major street races from the Initial D: Fourth Stage. Two races that were previously seen only in the manga were animated specially for this OVA. The first race is Takahashi Keisuke vs. Smiley Sakai, and the other is Keisuke vs. Kawai Atsuro.

The film is about 4 high schoolers who are bike racers and illegally partake in races at night on public roads. The main character, Gun, rides a customized Honda CB750F cafe racer and eventually evolves into a pro road racer. A very realistic anime about four high schoolers and (illegal) bike races.

Miyuki ichinose sees something remarkable - a kid on a 50cc moped beat a 750cc bike - and being the daughter of a motorcycle team chief, she does something about it and invites Gun onto the team. Gun finds it hard to fit in at first, and the rivalry between him and successful rider Hideyoshi makes things even harder.

Initial D: Battle Stage 3 is the eleventh and final installment of the Initial D series. It features every race from Fifth Stage and Final Stage. Unlike the previous two battle stages, it does not feature any new battles, and doesn’t feature any character dialogue.

New Initial D the Movie Battle Digest is a compilation film in the New Initial D the Movie series. It features the battle scenes from the Initial D Legends films with a new soundtrack, in a similar fashion to the Battle Stages. While the original films featured a J-Rock soundtrack, this film features a Eurobeat soundtrack. Aside from the battle scenes, it also has scenes where the characters from the films test drive their vehicles.
