Hugely entertaining, and so much more fun than you'd ever expect. The first plot twist: Grant turns out not to be in Patagonia after all, so the successive scenes are a pageant of ever-more-exotic locales, with some of the most engaging musical numbers in all of zarzuela: a Chilean samba, a chorus of smoking women (a bit risqué for 1877), an undersea ballet, all manner of singing and dancing natives, and a duet in Spanish AND...um..."English" comparing the lovemaking styles of the two countries.
