Kenshin Himura, a once-deadly murderer in the Bakumatsu period, has vowed never to kill again. A decade after the end of the Bakumatsu, Kenshin acts as a wandering swordsman, offering help to those in need.
After meeting Kaoru Kamiya, a proprietor of a dojo on the brink of closure, Kenshin decides to help restore her dojo to its former glory.
