Henry Kenneth Alfred "Ken" Russell is an English film director. He is known for his pioneering work in television and film and for his controversial style. He has been criticized as being over-obsessed with sexuality and the church. His subject matter is often about famous composers, or based on other works of art which he adapts loosely. I suppose much depends on how you feel about the music of Delius. I happen to detest it, so this was excruciating for me to sit through. They kept... playing it. But the movie does have a lyrical, pastoral beauty. And it's the great Ken Russell, after all. Russell himself said this was his favorite of his films.

Um dos mais contidos filmes de Ken Russell e isso não é um elogio.
