The Outcasts
A bounty hunter who was a Confederate Officer teams up with an ex-slave who was a Union Soldier during the Civil War. They are the Outcasts. The Outcasts was revolutionary. It challenged the traditional formula of the TV Western, treating innovative themes such as the place of black cavalry units—the so-called "Buffalo Soldiers—in the history of the West; the brotherhood between two oppressed racial minorities, blacks and Indians; racial prejudice on the frontier.
