1659 + 2 = 1664

I just merged my watchlist (2 films) with my remembered films list (1659 films) and now have a watchlist with 1664 films.
1659+2 = 1661, so where are those 3 additional films coming from ?

Thanks for pointing this out! I think we've fixed it up.

Your Remembered List had 1659, but 12 of those you'd already watched, so we'd expect to see 1647 (1659 - 12) added to the Watchlist, for a total of 1649.

What seems to have happened, is that we added some titles which you previously had in your Remembered Titles list, but which were no longer active. There were fifteen such titles. Once we removed those titles, your Watchlist has the expected amount.

Does that make sense?

When titles are removed from collections, it doesn't physically remove them from the table, but sets their status to "inactive". This is useful for a number of reasons. When we merged your Remembered Films list into the Watchlist, it erroneously grabbed those inactive titles, along with the active ones.

Your Remembered List had 1659
12 of those were ones you had already watched, leaving 1647 (1659 - 12) unwatched titles
Because your Watchlist has 2 already, we'd expect to see 1649 after merging, which was the case.

There are now 1650, because of an addition since this thread was started.

You mention "3 additional titles", but that's a red herring. There weren't three additional titles -- there were 12 skipped because they had already been rated, and 15 that had been added erroneously because they were no longer "active" in your Remembered Titles collection.
