With an interval of fifty years in between, the film brings the experience of the start of a war in Sarajevo. "Remake" tells three tragic stories in one. Fudo, and his friends treat each other with utter contempt, cheating and violently confronting each other at the slightest offense. At the top of the rugged Bosnian mountain, young shepherd Mehmed patiently watches over his cows and lovingly carves the figure of a woman in a piece of wood. Almost on cue, a novice paraglider unexpectedly falls from the sky. Deborah speaks only French and he speaks only Bosnian, but they tentatively communicate. A couple ends in the middle of the forest after their car has broken down. The woman, a Muslim survivalist from the Balkans war, feels that a presence is stalking them but by now they have to worry more about a couple of seemingly pacific Bosnians.

Zeko, a barber and a former soldier with PTSD, calls his brother Braco and his friend Svaba at Bajram. He intends to use the holiday mood to stop them drinking and gambling.
