After a young girl's mother dies, she is cared for by Glico, a brassy hooker, who gives the girl the name "Ageha" (Butterfly). Ageha goes to work for a collection of oddballs who run a junkyard and salvage business.

Chi-ching discovers a bloody corpse in a hotel room, the victim of a kidney theft. She sees another woman outside, whom she suspects is involved. The woman is Suen Ling, a medical researcher and former flame of Chi-ching's beau Tsui. Chi-ching soon starts receiving threatening calls that her kidney will be next to be stolen.
