Vimal Kumar (Indrajith) & Mustafa (Biju Menon) are 2 convicts who escape into the jungles after the police car which transported them crashes & they survive the crash. Vimal, determined to escape to find out the person responsible for the death of his fiance, seeks the help of Mustafa to do it, without realizing that it was Mustafa he was looking for.

P.L. Thomas (Biju Menon), popularly known as "Sherlock Toms" because of his obsession with Sherlock Holmes novels, becomes an income tax commissioner tasked with catching unaccounted wealth. However, his first major attempt falls flat, resulting in humiliation & a suspension. Thomas hatches a plan to salvage his reputation & enlists the help of his friends.

John David (Mohanlal), a loner, stalks & kills the individuals from two families who killed his own family years ago in the Middle East. Journalist Anantha Raman (Anoop Menon) is also caught in between this, as John tries to teach him a lesson in journalistic ethics. Anantha Raman, who had run a Middle Eastern Malayalam news channel at the time John's family was killed & had reported suspicion about the deaths initially, had later changed his tune for money.

After surgeon Dr. Hari Narayan (Murali Gopy) dies in an accident in Bangalore on his way to the hospital, his twin Ravi Narayan (Murali Gopy) starts behaving as if he was Hari, leaving their family distraught. Crime Branch CI Yousaf Marikkar (Fahadh Faasil), who himself had his own inner demons to battle, tries to get Ravi committed. However, what starts as a case of schizophrenia soon morphs into an investigation into an illegal drug operation centered around the hospital where Hari worked.

A first-time movie director, Kishore Kumar (Maqbool Salmaan), gets conned into making a screenplay into a movie, which turns out to be the frame-by-frame copy of a Korean movie. Shortly after Kishore's movie becomes a success, the director of the Korean movie approaches him & demands 5 crores in payment within 15 days.

Aadhi (Asif Ali), a freewheeling youngster, is forced to chauffeur a enigmatic stranger, George Koshy Anthraper (Biju Menon), across state lines to various places, in return for cash to help save his friend Rafeeq (Vishnu Raghav), who was hospitalized after a fall. At Madurai, Koshy reveals his true intentions - to save Kani (Malavika Nair), a young girl forced into prostitution & to kill Stephen (Hasim), a serial rapist & sex trafficker based in Madurai, who had raped & killed his daughter.

'Ozhimuri', based on the book 'Uravidangal', is about the transition from a matrilineal system that prevailed in the Nair community in the old southern Travancore to a patrilineal one. By the end of this system, in the 1940s, women lost their power & became slaves in a male-dominated society. The movie lays open the ego clashes & complexities of a period through the eyes of its lead character Thanupillai (Lal), who witnesses the lives of 3 women - his mother, wife & son's girlfriend.
