Juliette, 35, an illustrator of children's books, returns to the place where she grew up to spend a fortnight in the company of those closest to her: a father who is a bit of a lunatic, a sister who has other things to worry about between her kids, her job, her doddering husband and her lover, a mother who is nowhere to be seen and a grandmother who is losing her mind. Buried memories, things left unsaid and family secrets rise to the surface.
