A 1934 Warner Brothers Vitaphone short, "Corn on the Cob." In this one, two hobos launch a get-rich scheme by trying to sell axle grease marketed as salve for relief from corns and bunions. John Macready, a seafaring captain, who has been beached for losing his ship, goes into the salvage-from-wrecked-vessels business with lovable old George Lockhart,and is leading the fight against the erection of a lighthouse that would tend to do damage to the salvage business. Macready's brother, Angus, dies in a shipwreck, and Macreday begins to suspect that his lovable old partner may be causing the ship wrecks by misdirecting the vessels.

Joan Daley (Joan Davis), a New York booking/press agent, attempts to recruit two local stand-ins, Jinx Terry (Jinx Falkenburg) and Lois Morgan (Joan Woodbury), when the Cuban sister-act, Marianela (Marquita Madero) and Rosita (Carmen Morales), she as booked into the nightclub for which she works fails to materialize. Complications arrive when the real Cuban sisters show up.
