The film opens with Yieh Siu-yan, a crazed convict on the lam, killing a Shenzhen prostitute and assuming her identity. She jumps the border and is soon prowling the streets of Hong Kong. After a night of vigorous love-making, she follows the man, runs him down with a stolen car, and then drags the bleeding and battered man to his own apartment, where she plans to kill him and steal his identity for her fugitive boyfriend Kwan Fai.
