Biography: An author, filmmaker and poet. She died at the age of 84. She left behind a vast archive in almost every media--visual art (painting and drawing); writing (a dozen published books and thousands of pages of unpublished manuscripts); music (thousands of hours of reel-to-reel, cassette tapes of her original music and hundreds of songs); and a huge library of both edited and unedited film and video, representing her habit of recording about an hour of reality every day for the past 36 years.

The James Baldwin Anthology (2008) - Direct-to-Video

Consists of Baldwin's historic speech at UC Berkeley in 1979, his answers in a dialog with Malcom X in the 60's, and a series of original mixed media images done by Claire Burch as a memorial after his death in 1987. Following this material is an interview with the late Professor Erskine Peters who was host to Baldwin at this time, and a session at Cody's Bookstore in Berkeley, California where David Lemming is reading from his biography of Baldwin.
