A millionaire acquires a large diamond, said to be cursed. Despite the best efforts of his dutiful but fearful black valet (Oliver Hardy), it is stolen and kidnapped for ransom.

Josephine is interested in flying (and she's also interested in Slim, the aviator) but her suitor Chubby is afraid of flying and tries to talk her out of going up. But she excitedly accompanies Slim on a flight, and even throws a taunting message at Chubby as they pass him.
