This satirical anime comedy stars Retsuko, an anthropomorphic red panda who's 25 and single. She works in an accounting office for a Japanese company in Tokyo, facing daily frustration from an overly demanding boss and annoying coworkers. At night, she releases her rage by singing death metal at the local karaoke bar.

In 2015, the Chaldea Security Organization draws on experts of both the magical and mundane fields to observe the future of mankind for possible extinction events. Humanity's survival seems assured for the next century—until the verdict suddenly changes, and now eradication of the species awaits at the end of 2016.
