The Rent Collector
The Rent Collector is a 1921 American silent comedy film featuring Larry Semon & Oliver Hardy. (imdb)
Be Reasonable
Billy is a bit of a masher. He meets a lady on the beach and immediately gives her an expensive gift (some pearls). The problems are that she has her eyes set on the handsome lifeguard and the collection agents either want Billy to pay for this necklace or return it. Well, she naturally doesn't want to give up the pearls, so Billy decides to break in to her house to steal them (and a few other items while he's at it). (imdb)
Golf
Golf (1922) - Short Film
Just look at the title of this one. It's just called "Golf." No reference to the events of a story involving golf, because it's really a showcase for crazy Larry Semon gags involving golf. Some semblance of a situation is introduced in the beginning. At first it seems like an excuse to set up some very punny title cards (which I must admit appreciating), but then it becomes clear that it's also setting up a funny bit wherein Larry is introduced rather destructively playing golf indoors. (imdb)
The Counter Jumper
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, 'counter jumper' was the term used in both Britain and the U.S.A. to describe the lowest dogsbody clerk in a general store or emporium. Here, Semon is employed in that capacity in an Old West general store that caters for desperate characters. As usual for Semon, most of the gag set-ups are deeply contrived and implausible. We get here not one but two separate sequences in which randomly splattered stains just happen to resemble a human face. (imdb)
Somebody\
In this one, we are introduced to a pretentious and uppity family who we just KNOW will be brought down to size later in the short. Then we cut to Lloyd Hamilton, stumbling along, and finding a job advertisement for an electrician's helper. He applies for the job (literally dangling over the business!), and from there on out there is solid physical comedy of all kinds. (imdb)
Breezing Along
This is a better than average Hamilton film thanks to the presence of a bratty kid who makes Lloyd's life miserable. It seems that Lloyd was hired as a combination chauffeur, butler, cook, etc. and isn't particularly adept at any of these tasks. however, to make things worse, there is a bratty kid in the home who does his best to ruin everything. (imdb)
