Ravi Abraham (Anoop Menon) & Parvathi's (Samvrutha Sunil) perfect life is instantly turned upside down when their little girl Ammu is abducted by a kidnapper, Ambi (Jayasurya), with an elaborate scheme. With the clock ticking on their daughter's life, the couple is forced to comply with the wishes of the madman. The kidnapper does not want money from the couple, but instead makes increasingly humiliating & impossible demands of them in order to secure their child's release.

Their friendship turns into love & they move in together, but Tessa's happy life is shattered when she is raped by Cyril's boss Hegde (Prathap K. Pothan) & later betrayed by Cyril himself as she is framed for drug possession. Bitter & behind bars, Tessa plots her revenge against Hegde & Cyril.

'Friday', told in the format of 'hyperlink cinema', tells the stories of many people who in a town on 11-11-11, whose lives gets interwoven together by a couple of incidents. In the first incident, an elderly man (Nedumudi Venu) loses the jewellery & cash he had set aside for his granddaughter's wedding in an autorickshaw driven by Balu (Fahad Fazil) & goes in frantic search for it. In the second incident, most of the characters in the movie end up in a boat which meets with an accident.

While he lay on his deathbed, his spirit takes a human-like form unseen by others, & recounts his childhood, his childhood speech impediment & his love life. He also meets a kindred spirit from his childhood, Kumaran (Kalabhavan Mani), with whom he has shared memories.

Brahmin girl & art student Gayatri (Ann Augustine) falls for eccentric college-mate Michael Agnelo (Fahadh Faasil), & they both drop out & start living together. After the initial euphoria settles, Gayatri finds Michael to be very self-centered & hot-tempered & that he expects her to support him so that he could paint. Then an accident leaves Michael blind, adding to Gayatri's woes. At this juncture, Michael decides to create his magnum opus, & Gayatri struggles to keep up with the expenses.
