Ali, a teacher and a writer with Kurdish identity, lives in Istanbul with his old mother far from his homeland in southeastern Anatolia. His mother vehemently insists on returning to her village which was evacuated by the Turkish army and longs for the Kurdish songs which she can't listen anymore.
