Belgian filmmakers are unequalled at making competently crafted yet incredibly frustrating films, favoring far too often the clichéd and sensational dimension of a story and the characters that populate it over the naturalistic capture of their ordinary lives. Essentially the same film as Streker's Noces, told from the point of view of the idiot husband.
