What a divine sight when all the suitors appear confused with roses in their mouths!

Prince Heinrich and Herbert Prince, a journalist, are very similar in build and facial resemblance, although neither is aware of the fact. Therein lies the secret of the memorable day the journalist enjoyed. Prince Heinrich, bored over billiards in the officer's quarters of his regiment, discards the game to take a brief nap, the journalist was involuntarily (at first) feted in his stead. Herbert has been granted leave of absence, and, before departing from his duties, persuades his friend.

Mrs Topp quickly discovers that her daughter, Musse, has recently become romantically attached to someone, and so too has Mr Tipp’s nephew Peter.

Fresh blood is required, so Mrs. Hansen’s son and Mrs. Sørensen’s niece plan a peace conference in the backyard.
The Nokkesens have got themselves into a huge predicament. They’ve forgotten that the Spidsmejers are coming to dinner and expect roast hare. The Nokkesens have no hare to cook, and the game butcher is closed, so the man of the house goes out to find a solution. After a bit of an odyssey, which includes coming across a bunch of mermaids, a fat little dog, and a pretty housekeeper with mischievous eyes, the Spidsmejers luckily get their promised roast hare.
